Dimensions: 25" x 19'
We offer two posters from the very first year of the Down The Shore Calendar. Our first calendar (1985) featured striking black and white fine art images of the Shore in an oversized format.
"Summer Storm" is one of the most remembered images. This dramatic photograph of a thunderstorm moving out to sea over the beach captures the raw power of natural forces at the Shore. Because it contrasts with perceptions of a calm and sultry summer beach, it was used as the show poster for a one-man show by photojournalist Ray Fisk on Long Beach Island in June 1986.
Available in two formats:
A) as the gallery poster, with type announcing gallery and show date (as shown), or
B) the photographic image alone, without type. Please specify when ordering.
(If no selection is made, the image alone will be shipped.)
This image is also available as one of five photographs from that first calendar as individual postcards on our black and white postcard page.
Printed on heavy matte art stock. Protect from UV (sunlight) to reduce fading. Posters are safely shipped rolled in protective tubes. After receipt, please allow time for poster to uncurl.
